Common questions asked about ice carvings.

How long do ice carvings last during a function?

 Temperature, direct sunlight, size of the sculpture, ventilation, indoor/outdoor event, all play a very important role. On the average, the life expectancy of an indoor sculpture is approximately 6-8 hours.

How long does it take to make a carving?

The length in which a carving takes to make depends on size and complexity of the design. A typical standard design takes from 1-3 hours to fully complete. 

How do you keep the carvings from melting after you make them ?

Our carvings are produced at out facility which has Multiple freezers to store them until transport. To transport them we have refrigerated trucks with lift gates to get them to there destination.

On day of delivery what is the best time i should schedule the delivery?

The optimum time for a sculpture to be delivered set up and ready to go is typical 1-2 hours before the event starts.

What do you use to display the carving and keep it from melting on the table?

We have different sizes of trays depending on the size of the sculpture and size of table it is displayed on. The trays are also designed to contain the water.

What are the average dimensions of a sculpture?

Ice sculptures vary in size and weight, but a typical carving is cut from a 300 lb block and produces a single carving that weights from 125-200 lbs. and dimensions typically are 36" H/ 20"L/12"W. Multiple piece carvings sizes and weights change depending on the design.

How far in advance can i place a order for delivery?

For standard size carvings we would appreciate 2-4 weeks in advance, A large or custom carving that involves more time to complete we require 4-8 weeks .

What type of ice do you use for carving?

We use the industry standard carving block (Clinebell). 300 LB 40"H/20"L/12"W.

  How do i order a sculpture?

First in the contact us page you have 3 forms to choose from. When contacting us first give a explanation of time, date and place of your function. That is so we can check to see if we have open dates available. Next give a explanation of what type of function you are having and if you have a certain ice sculpture already in mind. If you are not quite sure of what you want we can help you make the right decision for you event.
